Born in 1950 in Krakow, graduated from the Jagiellonian University where he studied art history under Mieczysław Porębski, who persuaded him to get started with the artistic practice. In 1978-1981 he ran the Jaszczury Photo Gallery in Kraków. A year later, he formed the “Łódź Kaliska” group together with Marek Janiak, Andrzej Kwietniewski, Andrzej Świetlik, Andrzej Wielogórski and Jerzy Koba. In the 80’s and 90’s he participated almost in all its exhibitions.
